What? "Beyond the Bell" is a before and after school program designed to enrich reading and math skills. Students will learn computer skills, get homework assistance, take field trips and enjoy physical activities in a safe supervised environment.
When? The program meets every school day from 7:15 - 8:00 AM and 3:20 - 5:30 PM (M-F).
Who? All Students K-5 at Haskins, Southwest and Sacred Heart are eligible for enrollment.
Where? Students will meet in the Multipurpose Room at both Haskins and Southwest.
Safe, Learning Environment
Supervisors - "Beyond the Bell" is staffed by certified teachers and assisted by tutors, and community volunteers.
Enrollment - Parents or guardians can enroll children at Haskins, Southwest or Sacred Heart on enrollment day. During the school year, either enroll at the school office or call the "Beyond the Bell" office at 672-4560.
Fee: - The program is funded by the Kansas Department of Education as part of the 21st Century Community Learning Grant. Fees are based on lunch charges: Regular-$20 per child, $10 each additional child Reduced-$10 per child, $5 each additional child.
